Prepay Billing

A billing setup where funds must be added to the ad account before any ad spend can occur.

Prepay billing requires the advertiser to deposit funds into the ad account balance in advance, and spend is deducted from that balance in real time as ads deliver, stopping automatically once the balance is exhausted. It's common for newer accounts, accounts in higher-risk categories, or regions where postpay credit isn't offered.

Prepay removes the risk of an unexpected large invoice but requires more active balance monitoring to avoid delivery pauses mid-campaign, so agencies running prepay accounts set low-balance alerts and top up proactively rather than waiting for delivery to actually stop.
