Disapproved Ad

An ad that failed Meta's review process and is blocked from delivering until it's fixed or successfully appealed.

A disapproved ad has been reviewed and found to violate one or more Advertising Standards, and it is prevented from delivering any impressions until either the ad is edited to resolve the issue or the disapproval is successfully appealed. Disapprovals are tracked against the ad account's compliance history even if the ad never actually ran.

High disapproval rates on an account, even without a full restriction, tend to trigger more manual review scrutiny on future ads, which is why agencies track disapproval rate as a leading indicator and address the root creative or landing-page pattern rather than repeatedly resubmitting minor variations of the same disapproved ad.
